Sharma's house

Dishita pov

Sharma House, Dishita's Room

My mind is spinning. I can't stop.

I stare at the ceiling, but all I see is Krish. His eyes. His voice. That perfect, sharp nose.

He feels like a dream I'm terrified to wake up from. How can someone be this flawless? My face burns. I bury my head into the pillow, but the memory just gets louder.

Outside the venue, he looked at me. Really looked at me. That smile was mine. Only mine.

Then he picked me up. No effort. Just pulled me against his chest, but only after asking if he could.

Aww.

The sweetness of it makes my chest ache.

And the dance. My heels caught the heavy fabric of my lehenga. I was falling. Hard. But his arms caught me first. Secure. Unshakable.

When he slid the ring onto my finger, his grip was so gentle. Like I was a delicate rose petal he didn't want to crush.

The flowers. He gave me a bouquet. I wrap my arms tightly around my pillow, twisting in the sheets until exhaustion finally drags me under.

A/N POV

Next morning

Yaduvanshi Corp. (Krish's Cabin)

The phone on the desk buzzes, interrupting the scratch of files. Vansh.

Krish snatches it up. "Hello."

"Hello, Bhai!" Vansh's laugh echoes through the speaker. "I heard you're getting married. Tell me, who is the idiot who actually agreed to tie themselves to you?"

Krish's grip tightens on the phone. His voice drops, thick with sudden, dark weight. "First of all, tameez se bol. Teri hone wali bhabhi hai."

(Speak with respect. She is your future sister-in-law.)

The playful tone on the other end instantly vanishes. "Oh, dude. I was just joking. Don't get serious. I respect her. Bring her home, and we'll obey her every word, I promise."

"Hmm. Good for you,"

Krish grunts, leaning back. "Why did you call?"

"Just curious. How did they convince you to marry?"

"I will tell you when we meet in person "Silence stretches over the line.

There was silence in reply so he asked"By the way, when will you both come back from Malaysia? "

"For now, we'll enjoy our honeymoon... but we'll be back by your wedding. "Vansh teases, his confidence returning.

"You are very shameless yarr" krish said.

"What is shameless about it?"vansh replied.

"And you are talking as if you will not go for honeymoon" he added teasingly but krish didn't reply.

Vansh coughs, quickly changing the topic. "Anyway... why are you putting so many hours into the Yaduvanshi company?"

A dark, dangerous smile touches Krish's lips. "To learn their secrets. Every single one. These people are fools. They think dumping extra work on me will tire me out."A few more brief words, and Krish hung up the call.

Yaduvanshi Mansion, Night

The house is dead silent when Krish walks through the door. The lights are dimmed. Everyone has already eaten and gone to sleep.

He is used to the isolation. He prefers it.

"Sir?" a servant whispers from the shadows. "Should I serve your dinner?"

"No. Not hungry."Krish walks past him and heads straight upstairs.

He slams his phone onto the charger, strips off his heavy suit, and steps into a scalding shower to wash off the day.

Minutes later, dressed in loose sweats, he drops onto the mattress. He grabs his phone and opens the gallery.

The very first image is Dishita from the engagement. He zooms in on her face.

His gaze softens, but something sharp and intensely possessive replaces the exhaustion in his eyes. His thumb traces the outline of her cheek on the glass.

A small, cold smile twists his lips."Soon-to-be wifey," he whispers into the dark room. "You have absolutely no idea what kind of trouble you are getting yourself into."

He locks the screen, plunging the room back into darkness, and lets his heavy eyelids finally close.
